Map an idea from your phone.

Proto on Android is the same idea map as cognira.dev/proto. One sentence in, cards back, drawn by cognira Retrain. The maps on your account are the list you open.

§ 01

Your maps, with a thumbnail

Proto opens on every map saved to the account, whether you drew it here or on the website. Each row has a small picture of the shape. Tap one to open it. Long-press deletes it. Edits save back, so the website shows the cards you grew on the train.

Home keeps a carousel of the recent ones, led by a card that starts a new map. “New map” asks for the idea, or for one of three templates: a cloud platform, a tool library, or a mobile app.

§ 02

What the first cards are about

Before it draws, you pick up to four parent topics. The defaults are Name, Stack, Backend, and Features. The rest are Users, Data, Interface, and Pricing. The model answers under each one you kept. At least one stays selected.

A thin idea comes back as a question, with options to tap or a line of your own. Answer it and the map is drawn from that. On the map itself you pan with a finger and pinch to zoom. A fit control puts the whole thing back on screen. Growing a card is a real expand: one level deeper, and the path stops at five names. A card opens in a sheet to edit. You can also read the same map as an outline when the graph is the wrong shape for a phone.

§ 03

It spends the chat allowance

A new map and a new branch use the same weekly tokens as a chat message, and the same burst limit. At the limit the notice offers Upgrade plan, which opens the plans page in the browser. The original Proto note still describes the idea. This is that, with a thumb instead of a mouse.
