See what a reply remembered, then forget it.

A reply on the phone carries the same receipts as a reply on the website. What it just learned sits under the text. What it used from earlier sits behind one row you can open. Both can be taken back, and both belong to the account.

§ 01

Learned, and used

A new memory is a chip: Learned, the sentence, and Undo. Undo removes that write. Separately, if the reply drew on memories you had already taught, a row says “Used 2 memories from what you’ve taught it”. Open it and each statement is there, with Forget on that one. The two stay apart on purpose. One is a write this turn. The other is a read of something older.

A new word gets its own chip, “New word”, with the word. A training label, when the reply carries one, sits beside it. Empty receipts draw nothing. A reply that learned nothing and recalled nothing is just the reply.

§ 02

Thumbs are the learning signal

Under the actions, thumbs up and thumbs down save onto the message, the same rating the website stores. They are how a turn becomes something the learning loop may look at later. The rules of that loop are the ones on the learning page: private memory first, a public gate before anything is shared, and a down-rated reply handled the way the current policy says. The phone does not have a second policy.

If the server refuses a rating, the button goes back to where it was. You can see that it did not stick. Copy, read aloud, and the rating sit on the same message, so a reply you want to keep, hear, or correct is one place.

§ 03

The phrasing still matters

The app does not add a new way to teach. A preference, a fact, or a word sticks when it is said the way cognira recognises, which is written up in how to teach cognira something that sticks. Say it in the phone’s composer and the receipt, if one is earned, appears under that reply. Forget on the phone and Forget on the website remove the same memory.
